While working on the SPFx Field Customizer, when I added the app to the SharePoint site collection, I encountered an error message. The error message appeared as, “Couldn’t add this app. Check your network connection and try again.“

After some time, I discovered why this error occurred and how to solve it. Let’s discuss this in the article.
SPFx Error: Couldn’t add this app. Check your network connection and try again.
Now, let’s see where you can get this error:
Suppose you created an SPFx app and tried to add it to a SharePoint site collection. In my case, I have an app called performance-score-customizer. Check the screenshot below.

Then, I remove the performance-score-customizer app. By clicking three dots, then click Remove.

I also deleted the app from the Site Collection App Catalog using the instructions in the screenshot below.

After that, I add the same app to the Site Collection App Catalog.

Then, I went to the SharePoint App Store and tried to add the same app to the SharePoint site. However, I encountered the error message: “Couldn’t add this app. Check your network connection and try again.”

Solved: Couldn’t add this app. Check your network connection and try again.
We need to go to the Recycle bin and delete the app to solve this error.

Then, the app goes to the second-stage recycle bin. The second-stage recycle bin option is at the bottom of the Recycle Bin page.

Now go to the second-stage recycle bin and delete the app.

After deleting the app from the second-stage recycle bin, go to the SharePoint App Store and try to add the same app. It will be successfully added.
