Here we will discuss how to resolve the below error which comes when trying to create Azure web app from Visual Studio 2015. Recently while creating an Azure web API using visual studio 2015, we got the below error while trying to deploy the web API to Microsoft Azure from visual studio 2015. The error was coming while trying to create the web app from the “Create Web App on Microsoft Azure” screen like below:
The error comes as:
Creation of Microsoft Azure Web App failed. Following errors occurred during deployment:
Error during deployment for resource ‘MyAzureAPIDemo’ in resource group ‘MyDemoAzureWebAPIGroup’: The subscription is not registered for the resource type ‘components’ in the location ‘Central US’. Please pre-register for this provider in order to have access to this location.

I do not have the proper solution to resolve the issue but by following below solution, you will be able to create the web app and also you will be able to deploy the web API to Microsoft Azure.
The first thing we can check is whether we are able to create a web app in the Azure portal. For this login to Azure Portal and then Click on + New button -> Web + Mobile -> Web App
And then fill the details like below:
Here the App Service plan/Location is set to South Central US. Here we cannot simply select a new region for our web app. The location resides within an app service plan within a given region. The web app will be created successfully and you can see the region as South Central US.
Error during deployment for the resource in resource Groupon the other hand when you will try creating a web app from visual studio, though it gives an error, still if you will check inside the Azure Portal, you can see the Web App created successfully like below:
Creation of Microsoft Azure Web App failed. Following errors occurred during deployment once it is created successfully you can download the Publish Profile and then you can deploy to Azure by using the Import option.
