We got this error while opening a page in SharePoint 2013 site which was migrated from moss 2007 using database upgrade approach. To see how many web parts are there in the page you can contents=1 like below:
Now to solve this issue you can delete web parts from the page whichever you are not using.
Or the other solution is to modify settings in web.config for the web application.
For this go to your web application, and open your web.config file. Before modifying anything take a backup of your web.config file.
The search for the below tag:
<WebPartLimits MaxZoneParts=”50″ PropertySize=”1048576″ />
Here you can increase MaxZoneParts=”50″ any value greater than this like below:
<WebPartLimits MaxZoneParts=”100″ PropertySize=”1048576″ />
Then do an IISRESET. And make sure if you have multiple servers, you did the changes in all the servers.
Hope this will be helpful.
