- Go to the modern SharePoint site page where you want to add the Page properties web part to the SharePoint site page.
- Choose Edit Page at the top right of the SharePoint site page.
- Select + circled icon then add a new Section layout.
- In the search box, enter the Page properties and select the Page properties web part.
Now, Add properties to display page information and different types of custom properties.

Configure Page properties web part in SharePoint online
Let us see how we can edit and configure the page properties web part in modern SharePoint.
- Edit the Page properties web part, select +Add to add properties and display it in the Page properties web part.
- To remove custom properties select the Remove option.
- Make sure, you have created a custom property column in the SharePoint site library so that while editing the properties web part you can see the create column option.
- In this example, I have created a choice column called Courses.
Now, below the screenshot, we can see, that we can add the newly created custom column property Courses from the dropdown.
Select the Page details option, to add values to display in the page properties web part, we can also have an option to change the thumbnail image.
Select Publish or Republish option to save your changes, and also we can see it displays the selected value in the Page properties web part.
In the site pages, we can check for the Communicate site page (highlighted red), the course value is added SPFX
