Purdue University is seeking an Application Administrator for administration and installation of up to 8 of the 30-40 enterprise and departmental applications supported. The Administrator will help with supporting an existing SharePoint 2010 farm and be responsible for leading the architecting of a new SharePoint 2013 environment.
Other responsibilities include:
- Provide expertise and assist customers, developers and partners with design decisions.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and application of updates and patches.
- Plan lifecycle replacement, coordinate outages and performance tuning for applications and hardware.
- Maintain monitoring and data gathering systems for reporting and performance purposes.
- Work with vendors to address and resolve problems.
To succeed in the role you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer technology or equivalent field with at least two years of experience with system or application administration.
