The error looks like below:

Solution:
The error was coming in the default.aspx page and the sites were migrated from moss 2007 to SharePoint 2013.

To fix the issue open your SharePoint site using SharePoint designer 2013. Then click on All Files in the Site Object in left side in designer.

Right click on the default.aspx page and then click on reattach page layout.

Now refresh the page, it should work fine.
