In this post we will discuss how we can resolve an web part maintenance error which we sometimes get while opening a SharePoint site or a page. Recently we face this kind of issue in 3/4 pages in our SharePoint 2013 site.

We got the below error while opening the page.

There might be some issues with any of the web parts in the page. So for a quick fix, open the page like below:


When you add ?contents=1 to the URL, it will display all webparts in the page.

Just select the error or corrupted web part and click on close or delete.

After this the page should open correctly. Basically we need to remove the corrupted web part from the page.
