In this post, we will discuss the new look of the list in Office 365 SharePoint online. Previously we have discussed SharePoint online document libraries new looks and features. Modern SharePoint online lists are responsive and very easy to use in any devices.
The new list has few significant changes like below:
Few highlighted changes are:
– Edit List Items Quickly
– Automate Tasks with Flow
– Build Custom Apps with PowerApps
– Easily Change and Save your Views
The new list looks like below, which has buttons like New, Quick edit, Flow, PowerApps. Additional buttons will also appear based on item selection also like Edit, Share, Get a link, Delete etc. Also, you can directly add columns by clicking on the + button.
The add new item screen is also changed drastically, the form looks very attractive and very responsive. The Save & Cancel button also looks very professional.
You can able to see the details about any individual items by clicking on the details icon like below. You will be able to see the Properties like Content-Type, columns etc.
Or you can see by clicking on the Details button from the ECB menu like below:
In the details pane also you can see the recent activity as well as Be Sharing details, path etc.
The Edit item screen also looks very professional and responsive like below:
Adding columns to a list has been made very easy with a + button in the list. Just click on the + button and then choose the type from the options like below:
It will ask for the column name in the dialog box like below, give a name and the column will be available.
Adding columns to view now becomes easier, click on the column -> Column settings ->Add a column like below:
Then you can select the columns which you want to add to the view. As well as you can use the up and down arrow to arrange the columns very easily like below:
Now you can mail to everyone which will open the outlook. From properties from the Sharing section click on Email everyone button like below:
This will open the Outlook windows with auto populate few things like To, Subject, and Body.
Now you can also attach quickly by simply clicking on the attachment button.
