In this post we will discuss how to verify WMI is enabled and accessible on remote computer? Before proceeding this below steps your account should be part of local administrator group or part of domain admin group on that remote computer.
Start -> Run and type -> Wbemtest -> Ok.
Then click on Connect.
In the NAMESPACE field type the IP Address or host name of the computer
“\\ComputerName\Namespace” (if the name space is already there leave it, and put the Computer Name then click Connect.
Once Connected you will see all the IWbem services buttons available and Click Query button.
Click the query button and type the below query
select * from win32_useraccount
Your results should be something similar to below.
If the Query returns this means the WMI Option is enabled and accessible correctly on remote computer.
