How to delete list using PowerShell in SharePoint 2013?

In this post, we will discuss how we can delete the list using in PowerShell in SharePoint 2013. If the list is working fine then we can delete the list from the browser easily, but in some cases, if the list is corrupted then this PowerShell approach will help.

Recently we got one issue where whenever we are trying to go to the settings page of the list we got Sorry, something went wrong issue. So we use PowerShell to delete the corrupted list.

Below is the PowerShell command to delete a particular list.

$web = Get-SPWeb(“https://SiteURL/”)
$list = $web.lists[“List Name”]
$list.AllowDeletion = $true
