Enable tree view in Office 365 SharePoint Online sites

Here we will discuss how we can enable tree view in Office 365 SharePoint Online site as well as in on premise site. There is a slight difference step in enabling tree view in SharePoint on premise and online.

Enable Tree View in On Premise Site:
We can easily enable tree view in on premise site. Open SharePoint 2016 site and then click on Settings and then Site Settings. Then from Look and Feel section, you can see a option known as “Tree view”.

Then you can check the check box “Enable Tree View” like below:

Once you enable it, you can see the tree view like below in the left side below quick launch.

Enable Tree View in Office 365 SharePoint Online Site:
The option to enable tree view in Office 365 SharePoint online site is a bit different. Open SharePoint online site and click on “Navigation Elements” which is under Look and Feel like below:

Then in the Navigation Elements page, check the check box “Enable Tree View” like below:

Once you enable tree view it will appear like below:
