Sometimes you will not see the Data Connection Library app while you are trying to add an app in SharePoint 2013. We will see here how we can enable data connection library app using PowerShell or feature in SharePoint 2013/2016 or SharePoint Online.

In Data connection library you can easily share files that contain information about external data connections. This is very much helpful in case of InfoPath when you are trying to create .udcx file for a data connection in InfoPath 2013.

You may read: Prevent Site Content to appear in SharePoint 2013 search results

Steps to resolve:
Open your SharePoint 2013 site, then from the Settings icon click on Site Settings. Then in the Site Settings page, click on Manage site features under Site Actions.

Then in the Site Features page, search for “SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features” feature and click on Activate if it has not been activated. see fig below:

If the above solution did not work, then run below PowerShell cmdlets:

Open SharePoint 2013 Management Shell and execute the below two cmdlets.
Install-SPFeature DataconnectionLibrary
Install-SPFeature DataconnectionLibraryStapling

Then run the below cmdlet:
Enable-SPFeature DataConnectionLibrary –url http://YourSiteURL

Hope this will be helpful to enable data connection library app in SharePoint 2013/2016 or SharePoint Online.
