Create a Survey in SharePoint 2010

In this post, we will discuss how to create a survey in SharePoint 2010.

Follow below steps to create a survey in SharePoint 2010.
First Open the site in the browser then go to Site Actions then click on More Options as shown in the figure..
Then from the list of templates, Select Survey Template as shown in the figure below and click on
More options button rather than Create.
Then from the Create dialog box, enter a name, description for the Survey. Also, you can choose whether you want to show in Quick Launch or not. Also, you can choose whether you want to show username in the survey result or not. Also, you can choose whether you want the user to give multiple responses or not as shown in the figure below:
After that, it will ask you to create questions. Then the main survey dashboard will look like the below figure. Here you can able to see the survey details, as well as you can see the response in graphical summery, as well as you can see all the response. You can click on the Respond to this Survey option if you want to take the survey.
When you click on the survey the dialog will open like below. Here we had only one question.
After you complete the Survey you can see the result as a graphical summary ly click on the link from the main Survey dashboard.
