Here, I am going to explain how to create a calendar in Office 365.

  • First, log in to the Office 365 portal and then you can directly click on Outlook.
  • Also, you can open outlook by using the App Launcher (Go to App launcher >> Outlook).
  • Once you will click on Outlook it will open, where you can create a new calendar.

  • Click on the Calendar option at the bottom of the page as shown below.
  • Now, the Outlook calendar page is open.

  • Click on Create blank calendar option from the left-hand side.
  • Give the calendar name in create blank calendar.
  • Click on Save to create a calendar.

How to Create an event in Office 365 Calendar

  • First, log in the Office 365 portal and then you can directly click on the Outlook.
  • Also, you can open the outlook by using the App Launcher (Go to App launcher >> Outlook).
  • Click on the Calendar option at the bottom of the page, then click on New Event.
  • In the calendar, window provide the below details to create an event as below screenshot.

Click on Save from the top of window to create an event.

How to share a calendar in office 365

  • First, log in the Office 365 portal and then you can directly click on the Outlook.
  • Also, you can open the outlook by using the App Launcher (Go to App launcher >> Outlook).
  • Click on the Calendar option at the bottom of the page.
  • Select a Calendar from My calendars option, then click on Sharing and permissions option to share it.

Now, In Sharing and permissions window :

  • Enter the email address or name to whom you want to share your Calendar.
  • Send a sharing invitation in an email.
  • You can choose how much access to allow and change access settings at any time.

Click on Share to share your calendar.

Create a resource calendar in office 365

Here, I am going to explain how to create a resource calendar in office 365.

  • First, log in to the Microsoft Office 365 portal and then go to Admin.
  • Once you will click on Admin, it will open the Office 365 admin center.
  • Click on Resources >> Room & Equipment as shown below.

  • In Rooms & equipment window, Click on Add resource to add a new resource in Office 365.

In the Add resource window, fill out some basic information about the resource you would like to create.

  • Resource Type: Select the resource type from the drop-down arrow.
  • Name: Give the resource name that appears in the address book, and in the To and From lines in meeting invitations and responses.
  • Email: Give the email address that is used to send meeting invitations to the resource.
  • Capacity: The number of people who can fit in the room or use the equipment at the same time.
  • Location: Give the location.
  • Phone number: Give the Phone number for creating the resource.

Click on Save to add the resource.

Create a calendar in office 365 SharePoint

Here, I am going to explain how to create a calendar in office 365 SharePoint.

  • First, log in to the Office 365 portal and then you can directly click on the SharePoint.
  • Also, you can open the SharePoint by using the App Launcher (Go to App launcher >> SharePoint).
  • Select any SharePoint site in which you want to create a calendar.

  • In the SharePoint site, Go to the Settings icon at the top right corner.
  • Select Add an app option to add a calendar to your SharePoint site.

  • In Apps you can Add section, Click on Calendar app.

  • In Adding Calendar window, Click on Advanced Options and provide the below details:
  • Name and Description: Type a new name as you want it to appear in headings and links throughout the site.
  • Group Calendar Options: Specify whether this calendar list works as a group calendar. 

Click on Create, it will open a Calendar page to create an event.

In the SharePoint calendar page, provide the below details to create a new event in the calendar as below screenshot.

  • Title: Give the name of the new item you want to create in the calendar.
  • Location: Specify your location.
  • Start time: Give the start time of the event.
  • End time: Give the end time of the event.
  • Description: Provide the description for the event.
  • Category: Select the category of your event from the drop-down arrow.
  • All Day Event: Select the checkbox if you want to make this all-day activity that doesn’t start or end at a specific hour.
  • Recurrence: Select the checkbox if you won’t make it a repeating event.

Click on Save to create a event.

  • Click on the CALENDAR option at the top of the page, and then select the List Settings option.
  • When you will click on the List Settings option, It will open a Settings window, then click on “List name, description, and navigation” option.
  • Now, in Navigation option set Yes to Display this list on the Quick Launch?.

Click on Save to save the changes in settings.

  • Click on Home option from the left hand navigation menu to visit at the SharePoint Site.

Create a Teams Calendar in Office 365

Here, I am going to explain how to create a Teams calendar in office 365.

  • First, log in to the Office 365 portal and then you can directly click on the Teams.
  • Also, you can open the SharePoint by using the App Launcher (Go to App launcher >> Teams).
  • Once you will click on Teams, it will open Teams where you can create a Teams calendar.
  • Click on Teams >> Select your team’s group where you want to add a calendar.

  • Open Outlook in a new tab and then select a Teams group (which you have created before) in Outlook.
  • Click on the Calendar option from the Outlook page.

  • Go to Teams App, and then click on Add to open the website tab in Teams.

  • In Add a tab window, select Website app as shown below.

In Website window, provide the below details to paste the Outlook calendar URL:

  • Tab name: Give the name for your website.
  • URL: Paste the Outlook calendar URL that you copied from the Outlook.

Click on Save.

Note: Make sure you’re only linking to sites that start with ‘https://‘ and contain trustworthy web content. That way, you and your team can stay secure.
