Here, I am going to explain how to connect SharePoint Calendar to Outlook.
- Open your SharePoint Online site and click on the Settings icon at the right-hand side of the page.
- Select Add an app to create a SharePoint Calendar.
- Then in the next dialog box provide a Name for your Calendar and click on Create to add an event list.
- Once you click on the Create button, it will redirect to the Site Contents page where you can see the event list. Click on the event list to open it.
- Now, the SharePoint Calendar is open. Select CALENDAR Tab >> Connect to Outlook.
Once you click on Connect to Outlook, it will ask to Open Outlook? then click on Open Outlook.
Now, a Microsoft Outlook dialogue box will open in Outlook, click on Yes to connect the SharePoint Calendar to Outlook.
Here, you can see that SharePoint Calendar is connected to the Outlook.
Here, I am going to explain how to connect SharePoint task list to outlook.
- Open your SharePoint Online site and click on the Settings icon at the right-hand side of the page.
- Select Add an app to create a SharePoint Task list.
- Then in the next dialog box provide a Name for your task list and click on Create to add the list.
- Once you click on the Create button, it will redirect to the Site Contents page where you can see the task list. Click on the task list to open it.
- Now, the SharePoint task is open. Select List Tab>> Connect to Outlook.
Once you click on Connect to Outlook, it will ask to Open Outlook? then click on Open Outlook.
Now, a Microsoft Outlook dialogue box will open in Outlook, click on Yes to connect the SharePoint Task List to Outlook.
Here, you can see the SharePoint Task list is connected to Outlook and you can also add New Task from the Outlook. Go to Home Tab >> New Task.
While trying to connect the SharePoint list to Outlook, you might get an error “Task ‘SharePoint’ reported error (0x80004005): ‘An error occurred in this SharePoint List (site name – list name). Try updating the folder again. If the problem continues, contact the SharePoint site administrator. HTTP 500.” Follow the below steps to solve this error:
- Open the Outlook desktop app, then go to File.
- Click on Account Settings >> SharePoint Lists.
- Double click on the list and then it will open a SharePoint List Option dialogue box, uncheck the “Display this list on other computers with the account:” Click on OK.
- Remove all the lists from the Account Settings dialogue box.
- Click on Close.
Here, I am going to explain how to Sync excel to SharePoint list.
- Open Microsoft Excel then store your data which you want to synchronize to the SharePoint list.
Now, Select the data and click on Design Tab >> Format as Table to enable the Export option.
- Once you format the table, you will see the Export option under Table Tools on the ribbon.
- Click on Export >> Export Table to SharePoint List.
Once you click on the Export Table to SharePoint List, it will open an Export Table to SharePoint List – Step 1 of 2 dialogue box. Now, provide the below details to syn excel to SharePoint list:
- Address: Provide the SharePoint Site URL.
- Name: Give the name for your table.
- Description: Give the description for your table.
Click on Next.
Once you click on Next, it will open Export Table to SharePoint List – Step 2 of 2 dialogue box with a summary of the fields that will get imported.
Click on Finish.
Here, the synchronization of excel to SharePoint list is successfully published. Click on OK.
Go to SharePoint site >> Site contents then you can see the published synchronize excel to SharePoint. Open the SharePoint list to see the excel table.
Here, you can see the excel table in the SharePoint list.
