Here we will discuss how to add a Site collection administrator after site creation. At the SharePoint site creation SharePoint asks you for administrators, but below we will describe how we can manager Site administrators after site creation.
For this open the site in the browser and then go to Site Actions -> Site Settings page as shown in the figure below.
Then click on Site collection administrator from the Users and Permissions section as shown in the figure.
This will open the Site collection administrator page and there you can delete any existing Site collection administrators or you can add any user to the site collection administrators as shown in the figure below.
Remember if you are not able to see site collection administrators link that means you are not a site collection administrator.
